Special Educational Needs

The Learning Support Department supports the whole school in the identification and teaching and learning of students with SEND and in particular those with:
  • Specific Learning difficulties (SpLD) and cognition (including dyspraxia, dyslexia and dyscalculia)
  • Speech Language and Communication (SLCN), including ASD
  • Sensory and physical difficulties, including VI, HI
  • Social, emotional and mental health Difficulties (SEMD) 

The Learning Support Department currently has two bases, one in College House and the other in Lower school.

Our Aim

We aim to have dialogue with students, parents and staff to meet the needs of individuals or groups of students. We work with the whole school through monitoring assessment to enhance and complement existing differentiation in the classroom.
