Appeals Timetable FOR SEPTEMBER 2024 ENTRY

Your offer of a school place will be sent to you by your home Local Authority on 1 March 2024.
If you have applied to Graveney School, but have not received an offer of a place here, you have the right to appeal against this decision to an independent appeals panel.

Graveney is an Academy, therefore the Academy Trust is responsible for independent appeals. We have made arrangements with Wandsworth Borough Council to handle appeals on our behalf. You will have received information on how to make an appeal with your offer letter.

The deadline for submitting your appeal to Wandsworth is 17 APRIL 2024. You do not need to submit all your supporting evidence at this time, but you must do so by the specified time 5 working days before your appeal hearing at the latest.

Secondary School Admission Appeals Timetable 2024

September 2024 entry

Appeals resulting from transfer application for admission to Year 7 for September 2024 will be heard according to the following timetable:

National Offer Day	1 March 2024
Date by which an appeal must be submitted	17 April 2024
Date when appeals will be heard	All appeals received by 17 April 2024 will be heard between 15 May and 19 June 2024. (Excluding half term)
Dates when appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing	10 clear school days in advance of the hearing
Date by which the Clerk sends appeal papers to the parents, the panel and the admission authority	7 working days before the appeal hearing
Deadline for appellants to submit additional evidence	8am, 3 working days before the appeal hearing
Decision letters sent to the appellants	Within 5 school days after the appeal hearing (whenever possible)

Appeals lodged after 17 April 2024 (known as late transfer appeals) will be heard within 40 school days of the appeal deadline, or 30 school days of being lodged, whichever is the later date.
